It's Christmas, still 3 weeks from departure for Uganda. The seasonal sales at Big 5 and the 99 cent store have filled my several bags to the brim.with pencils, coloring books, volleyball nets and other trinkets of travel. They will take on new value when they are whisked through time and space with me, and I return to the tranquility and chaos of Africa.
Luckily, my daughter, Solana, is here to help me navigate the novelty of blogs, flash drives and a new laptop. May the education I receive be adequate to keep Serve Tough - Africa a fairly coherent and informative vehicle of communication. Perhaps inspiration.
I am so excited to be your first follower! Have a wonderful and safe trip to Uganda, Jon.
ReplyDeleteTurn the Page Uganda is almost a non-profit and we've received donations!
Jon,
ReplyDeleteI just was on a run and thought of you while listening to a group called Band of Horses that thought you may like. I know you are a man who likes poetic lyrics and all. Anyway I was hoping to be in the mix on this Africa trip so I am happy to see the blog is a go. Send pics and say hey to the fam this Xmas for me. Merry Christmas!
BTW, Paige is Dwayne ha ha.
ReplyDeletebravo por ti jon que vuelves a la tierra querida....
ReplyDeleteyay dad!!!! have you tried to upload pics yet? love you.
ReplyDeleteGood work Solana! There is not another person that can write with such detail to make a reader really have the feeling of being in your head. I've always admired the way Coach Lee can tell a story and now I will be able to follow each adventure right here! I'm so excited for this!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to The Uganda Adventure!
